The Um Mami Culinary Center (UMCC) in Marrakech, developed by the Melting Pot Foundation (founded by Claus Meyer, co-founder of Noma), is building pathways to culinary careers through accessible, high-quality training.

Within the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP), and in partnership with the NGO Plan Børnefonden, Um Mami offers free, hands-on professional training to vulnerable Moroccan youth, preparing them for sustainable careers in the hospitality industry.

Our model combines inclusive education, career placement, and a strong emphasis on sustainability, local sourcing, and gender equity.

Since 2021, Um Mami has successfully empowered hundreds of young Moroccans through professional culinary training, achieving:
